So we’ve always, ALWAYS said we would go for a run at Delamere forest one day. Yesterday we decided we’d go today, as we both had a day off, and we could go for a run then come home and relax. When we then woke up today it was pooooouring down, not just kind of raining but really raining, and Hannah even started to say ‘maaaaybe not today…’ and I so nearly agreed, but I knew if we put it off, we’d never end up going! So even though it was hard work to drag ourself out of bed and into the cold!
Once there, we kept looking at the weather like ‘this was a bad idea’, but we made ourselves get up and go, and even though we were soaked the second we stepped outside, it was awesome! We enjoyed it so much, even though I think every single part of us was soaked. Our trainers leaked so our feet were soaked, our legs were soaked, our faces were soaked! But the views were so worth it, and it was lovely running past other runners and being like ‘hell yeah we’re also hardcore, hello!’ even though I think we probably walked more than we ran! And getting home to dry clothes and a mug of coffee and food and then a nap, was absolute heaven!
It was a good way to start the week!
